National 4-H Science Day

Dozens of youth across the Pacific participated in the National Youth Science Day by taking part in an experiment with wind energy.  Youth from Camp Zama Japan; Camp Humphreys Korea; Marine Corps Base Hawaii and Camp Walker Korea all reported successfully completing the experiment, which involved creating a prototype wind turbine and recording energy from it. Science kits were provided to each site upon request by the Hawaii 4-H Youth Development Military Partnership.

For more information about 4-H Science Experiments past and present go the National Youth Science Day website.

If your program completed the experiment, let us know with a photo! You can email it to Carmen, military4-hATctahr.hawaii.edu.
